Confused?

Your True Identity

      You are beautiful...
             because God created you in His likeness in His own beauty
      ...not because of how you look and define yourself.

      You are accepted...
            because of Christ who paid the price in Calvary
       ...not because of your performance, your accomplishments, your
      state of life.

     You are loved...
            because the Father gave His only Son to ransom your sins
      ...not because you are cherished and treasured by human affection.

     You are called...
            because Christ desires to have an intimate relationship with you
      ... not because of what you can give.

      These are just some of the wondrous truths of your true identity in Christ.
   In the secure arms of the everlasting God.

By the book: A woman and her God (Beth Moore)

      The Lord has not called us to subsistence living. We don't need to live on the alms of others. God had more in mind for us than that. We don't have to seek some other means of satisfaction or a substitute that never fulfills us. We can find it in the Lord, as we everyday afresh ourselves with His constant presence and truth.

Verses to hold on to:

~We know and rely on the love God has for us~
    (1 John 4:16)

~Psalm 63~
     This psalm is the heart of an intimate relationship that is initiated in Genesis 1 and
finalized in Revelation 19.

       1 O God, you are my God;  earnestly I seek you;
        u my soul thirsts for you;
        my flesh faints for you,
        as in  a dry and weary land where there is no water.
       2 So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,
        beholding  your power and glory.
       3 Because your  steadfast love is better than life,
        my lips will praise you.
       4 So I will bless you y as long as I live;
        in your  name I will a lift up my hands.
       5 My soul will be  satisfied as with fat and rich food,
        and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips,
       6 when I remember you  upon my bed,
        and meditate on you in  the watches of the night;
       7 for you have been my help,
        and in  the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.
       8 My soul  clings to you;
        your right hand  upholds me.
       9 But those who seek to destroy my life
         shall go down into  the depths of the earth;
      10 they shall be given over to the power of the sword;
        they shall be a portion for jackals.
      11 But  the king shall rejoice in God;
        all who  swear by him shall exult,
         for the mouths of l liars will be stopped.

Red Lights

   How can you contain a joyous experience in your life, you just want to share it right? How about something very sad, painful and depressing you just want to shout it out. How much more when you encounter the Lord in a very special way, you just can't describe it. You just want to express it. When Paul encountered the Lord, his life was never the same. His life turned upside down. Realizing that the God who made everything into existence lavished His love on us makes a great difference. I just cant contain sharing these things that the Lord is teaching me these days.

    For a long period of time, I was always running, striving and performing. I thought it was just me, my personality yet the Lord allowed painful breaking's to reveal the decaying parts of me. I was running to prove something to myself and the people around me. Until the Lord himself made a red light, stop! do not run. At times you need not to run, just walk for in the process you might miss the beautiful things that you pass by. You just live once in your life, enjoy each moment brings.
    "Give yourself a break!
   "Give yourself a time, to ponder, to meditate, to reflect and examine your personal walk with Him.

    Refreshing Springs:

When you are busy...
run to the Lord for calmness

When you are tired..
cry out for His strength

When you are weary..
refresh yourself with His love

When it is all unbearable
trade it all to Christ!

Journaling also helps:

Writing down entries, experiences and spiritual encounters with Him helps a lot.

Be creative in how you spend time with the Lord, it need not be luxurious but just make sure you enjoy each moment with Him and His word. :)

Emotional Modesty

"A woman who is well-kept
"A woman who keeps her secret
"A woman who is in love with the Lord
   What a great comfort, what a great resolve
    to be all for Christ.
  "Joyfully single, content and glowing
   In love, satisfied in Christ."

             This was my prayer after our GBC night singles fellowship at our student center.  Is it possible to be joyfully single? Singleness is a curse that most people think is hard to bear. When I share or state that I am single and I never had a boyfriend since birth people will get curious, annoyed or shocked. As if it is a curse  yet I am not surprised with the different responses that I get from people.

            I praise the Lord for the great confidence He has given me to truly see myself in His reflection and truly gaze upon His being as my true and real significance. I praise the Lord for the preservation He has allowed in my life, for it is grace alone.

          We had our singles fellowship at the center. It is my first time to attend the fellowship with the GBC singles. The topic we had was about modesty and I was greatly reminded and rebuked with the holy manner we should present ourselves as the bride of Christ. To be modest in the manner of clothing, not stumbling  people, to be holy in all manner  of conversation, to be upright, to be modest. A woman who is well-kept, hidden in the chest of Christ. Yet with the physical bars of modesty. I contemplated with the modesty of the heart. Is there such thing as that?

Emotional Modesty.

      Maybe at some point  we have not flaunt our physical selves to men to be devoured but how about our hearts? Is our hearts still whole? or is it broken, torn and been used and abused for leisure. Have we been careful with our hearts? with our emotions? Have we been discreet with our responses, in our actions towards delivering right signals? Have we been a well-kept woman?

     Maybe we have been, maybe we are not. In some point of our lives, we have given a parcel of ourselves to someone. We have given our hearts to someone who is not God's will for us. We have been immodest with our hearts. Yet, God's grace abounds to us in a manner of letting go and surrender. It beckons us to restore once more our hearts and give it back to Him. And every time we do, His great heart is open and willing to heal our hearts to be His again.

~Isaiah 61:03
         He makes beauty out of ashes
         He makes us
         He restores...

    Apart from Christ, we are not a good safe keeper of our hearts. Apart from the Holy Spirit,we are not able to guard our hearts, So instead  let Him in. Let Christ safe guard your heart, make it modest, holy and pure for our Heavenly groom, our eternal lover, our Great God patiently waits.
    Will you make the same prayer?
