(August 10, 2012)Rooted in Christ...
Satisfied in Him
Devoted, surrender and willing.
"Philippians 1:6-7"
Being Confident of this very thing,
that He who begun a good work in you,
will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ
"Phil. 02:17"
Yes, and if Iam being poured out as a drink offering
the sacrifice and service of your faith.

*Surrendered Life:
(Committing a surrendered life)
Phil. 03-7-11, 12-14
V.07 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted
loss for Christ.
V.08 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence
of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish
that I may gain Christ.
What it means to live a life of surrender?
-Not thinking of self and rights
-Not boastful with past victories but daily yielding to the Spirit day by day, moment by moment.
-Obedient to the Spirit
-Willing and able
In life at times you will loose things, valued people for God's maximum use of you.Nevertheless with all those things, consider them as "rubbish", "garbage", useless, not-profitable just to gain Christ and Him alone.
"God cannot use unsurrendered vessel, you cannot be steadfast if you held something."
*Salvation:
(Coming back to Salvation)
Phil. 03:
V.09 And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ (Grace), the righteousness which is from God by faith.
What it means to come back at salvation:
-Back to the cross... "the foundation of everything."
-The knowledge of Christ in You, His power, His blood, His redemption, His forgiveness.
-To be held back to the saving and wondrous power of His redemption work.
Think about:
-How you got save? What do I mean by this, the moment you have accepted Christ and began that personal relationship with Him.(Are you a 100% sure that all of your sins are forgiven and that you can go to heaven, if not, please read this verse: John 3:16, Eph. 2:8-9)
"It always comes back to your first love "Christ" , His sacrificial death on the cross and that keeps us steadfast."
*Studying Christ:
(Continuous Study of Him)
V.10 That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.
-The knowledge of God keeps us going.
-The right perspective of God in us.
-The right theology that springs up to right living.
A personal desire to be fed not only by preachers, teachers of God's word but a personal genuine desire to know God in our "quiet times", in our "Solitude" in our moments of pressures where we can outbreak our wandering hearts, thirsty soul and needy lives.
*Pressing on:
(Consecrated to the call)
All of us are called, not just in full time service but all of us are called to be a light to this world as children of the Living God.
V.12 Not that I have already attained or perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Jesus has also laid hold of me.
How to hold on?
V.13 Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.
*Forget the past- "mistakes, failures, short-comings"
Not to dwell with these things but to accept the newness and forgiveness of Christ in you.
*Daily Confession - Keeping short accounts- Daily crowning yourself with God's unceasing forgiveness.
*Fixing on Goals
Contemplate on the goals, the things you must do, the purpose the Lord has gave you. Fix on the things that lies ahead.
*Finishing the race
V.14 Nevertheless to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.
In life there are moments when you get discouraged, you get down, you get disappointed from people, from failures and you just want to faint. Yet God teaches us, beckons us and tells us to keep a steadfast heart. A heart rooted in Him first of all, finding all security, finding all answers to Himself and His word.
"Lord you know my heart... easily fainted, easily dismayed, easily desiring to get down, yet Help me to have a steadfast heart, anchoring my soul to You, accepting and living Your truth!
Amen!
In Him alone,
Pepees
