Secured in the everlasting

Secured in the everlasting...

Journal Entries
(This was written Aug.20, 2012)

A woman who is rooted in the Lord, anchored in the "everlasting" builds her significance and satisfaction in her maker, her divine lover and not to human affection.

She knows her role, she knows her true identity and she is secured in the Love of the Lord. She knows how to wait, and knows how to let go, and sees herself in the truest reflection of Christ.

If you are secured in the everlasting, it beckons and tells you to trust and wait even if you don't understand and know. You have faith!

How to have a steadfast heart in the Lord?

Rooted in Christ...
Satisfied in Him
Devoted, surrender and willing.

"Philippians 1:6-7"
Being Confident of this very thing,
that He who begun a good work in you,
will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ

"Phil. 02:17"
Yes, and if Iam being poured out as a drink offering
the sacrifice and service of your faith.

Having:

*Surrendered Life:
(Committing a surrendered life)

Phil. 03-7-11, 12-14
V.07 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted
loss for Christ.
V.08 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence
of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish
that I may gain Christ.

What it means to live a life of surrender?
-Not thinking of self and rights
-Not boastful with past victories but daily yielding to the Spirit day by day, moment by moment.
-Obedient to the Spirit
-Willing and able

In life at times you will loose things, valued people for God's maximum use of you.Nevertheless with all those things, consider them as "rubbish", "garbage", useless, not-profitable just to gain Christ and Him alone.

"God cannot use unsurrendered vessel, you cannot be steadfast if you held something."

*Salvation:
(Coming back to Salvation)

Phil. 03:
V.09 And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ (Grace), the righteousness which is from God by faith.

What it means to come back at salvation:

-Back to the cross... "the foundation of everything."
-The knowledge of Christ in You, His power, His blood, His redemption, His forgiveness.
-To be held back to the saving and wondrous power of His redemption work.

Think about:
-How you got save? What do I mean by this, the moment you have accepted Christ and began that personal relationship with Him.(Are you a 100% sure that all of your sins are forgiven and that you can go to heaven, if not, please read this verse: John 3:16, Eph. 2:8-9)

"It always comes back to your first love "Christ" , His sacrificial death on the cross and that keeps us steadfast."

*Studying Christ:
(Continuous Study of Him)

V.10 That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.

-The knowledge of God keeps us going.
-The right perspective of God in us.
-The right theology that springs up to right living.

A personal desire to be fed not only by preachers, teachers of God's word but a personal genuine desire to know God in our "quiet times", in our "Solitude" in our moments of pressures where we can outbreak our wandering hearts, thirsty soul and needy lives.

*Pressing on:
(Consecrated to the call)

All of us are called, not just in full time service but all of us are called to be a light to this world as children of the Living God.

V.12 Not that I have already attained or perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Jesus has also laid hold of me.

How to hold on?

V.13 Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.

*Forget the past- "mistakes, failures, short-comings"
Not to dwell with these things but to accept the newness and forgiveness of Christ in you.
*Daily Confession - Keeping short accounts- Daily crowning yourself with God's unceasing forgiveness.

*Fixing on Goals
Contemplate on the goals, the things you must do, the purpose the Lord has gave you. Fix on the things that lies ahead.

*Finishing the race

V.14 Nevertheless to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.

In life there are moments when you get discouraged, you get down, you get disappointed from people, from failures and you just want to faint. Yet God teaches us, beckons us and tells us to keep a steadfast heart. A heart rooted in Him first of all, finding all security, finding all answers to Himself and His word.

"Lord you know my heart... easily fainted, easily dismayed, easily desiring to get down, yet Help me to have a steadfast heart, anchoring my soul to You, accepting and living Your truth!

Amen!

When risks are taken

Journal entries
(This entry was written September 30, 2012)

"Risks"
I was able to have a good fellowship with a young lady whom I am ministering with, which I never thought will turn out to be  that beautiful. It rained hard, and so I thought we could not play "badminton" and things will turn out to be boring. I never thought I would enjoy the game, for years I was escaping to learn. I never thought I would begin to like this sport. I never thought I would be able to hit the cock and just have fun.

I grew up that I was not exposed to any sport and I grew up with books, pens and academics. My father did not exposed me to any sport. We were kept in our house while children play hard outside. It lowered my self   esteem and I was always hesitant to join in any games or sports. Until I found a relationship with God, and little by little, the Lord exposed some areas of my life that I need to grow, new avenues to learn, courage to take risks.

I was also able to witness a soccer game for the first time, and then the rain fell yet the rain did not stop them. The players played hard in the field stuck in mud. I got precious realizations from that scene, if they stopped when the rain fell, they would have never enjoyed and gained moreover win! If you never try you will remain to be what you are and never grow.
If you will not take risks you will remain to be what you think is impossible.

"How will you learn if you will not learn"
"How will you know, if you will not try"

For years I was always conventional and traditional, in life you learn by failures, by mistakes, by wrong choices and by painful heartaches. You will never gain, if you will never risk. The best thing and the highlight for me today was being able to play the "badminton." I never thought that I will be able to play this game and was able to hit the cock. I was just enjoying the game. I may never be  the best player but I am glad I am now playing.

"When you try to judge people with who you think they are, you might miss the best and most fruitful friendships.
"When you box people you will limit them with their capabilities.
"When you escape and evade you will run from the moldings that change.
"When you place yourself in the hands of God and do His will, you will never be the same again!

In Him alone,
Pepees

Confused?

Your True Identity

      You are beautiful...
because God created you in His likeness in His own beauty
...not because of how you look and define yourself.

      You are accepted...
because of Christ who paid the price in Calvary
...not because of your performance, your accomplishments, your
      state of life.

     You are loved...
because the Father gave His only Son to ransom your sins
...not because you are cherished and treasured by human affection.

     You are called...
because Christ desires to have an intimate relationship with you
... not because of what you can give.

These are just some of the wondrous truths of your true identity in Christ.
In the secure arms of the everlasting God.

By the book: A woman and her God (Beth Moore)

The Lord has not called us to subsistence living. We don't need to live on the alms of others. God had more in mind for us than that. We don't have to seek some other means of satisfaction or a substitute that never fulfills us. We can find it in the Lord, as we everyday afresh ourselves with His constant presence and truth.

Verses to hold on to:

~We know and rely on the love God has for us~
    (1 John 4:16)

~Psalm 63~
This psalm is the heart of an intimate relationship that is initiated in Genesis 1 and
finalized in Revelation 19.

       1 O God, you are my God;  earnestly I seek you;
        u my soul thirsts for you;
        my flesh faints for you,
as in  a dry and weary land where there is no water.
2 So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,
        beholding  your power and glory.
3 Because your  steadfast love is better than life,
        my lips will praise you.
       4 So I will bless you y as long as I live;
in your  name I will a lift up my hands.
5 My soul will be  satisfied as with fat and rich food,
and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips,
6 when I remember you  upon my bed,
        and meditate on you in  the watches of the night;
7 for you have been my help,
and in  the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.
       8 My soul  clings to you;
        your right hand  upholds me.
9 But those who seek to destroy my life
         shall go down into  the depths of the earth;
      10 they shall be given over to the power of the sword;
they shall be a portion for jackals.
      11 But  the king shall rejoice in God;
all who  swear by him shall exult,
for the mouths of l liars will be stopped.

Red Lights

How can you contain a joyous experience in your life, you just want to share it right? How about something very sad, painful and depressing you just want to shout it out. How much more when you encounter the Lord in a very special way, you just can't describe it. You just want to express it. When Paul encountered the Lord, his life was never the same. His life turned upside down. Realizing that the God who made everything into existence lavished His love on us makes a great difference. I just cant contain sharing these things that the Lord is teaching me these days.

For a long period of time, I was always running, striving and performing. I thought it was just me, my personality yet the Lord allowed painful breaking's to reveal the decaying parts of me. I was running to prove something to myself and the people around me. Until the Lord himself made a red light, stop! do not run. At times you need not to run, just walk for in the process you might miss the beautiful things that you pass by. You just live once in your life, enjoy each moment brings.
    "Give yourself a break!
"Give yourself a time, to ponder, to meditate, to reflect and examine your personal walk with Him.

    Refreshing Springs:

When you are busy...
run to the Lord for calmness

When you are tired..
cry out for His strength

When you are weary..
refresh yourself with His love

When it is all unbearable
trade it all to Christ!

Journaling also helps:

Writing down entries, experiences and spiritual encounters with Him helps a lot.

Be creative in how you spend time with the Lord, it need not be luxurious but just make sure you enjoy each moment with Him and His word. :)

Emotional Modesty

"A woman who is well-kept
"A woman who keeps her secret
"A woman who is in love with the Lord
What a great comfort, what a great resolve
    to be all for Christ.
  "Joyfully single, content and glowing
   In love, satisfied in Christ."

This was my prayer after our GBC night singles fellowship at our student center.  Is it possible to be joyfully single? Singleness is a curse that most people think is hard to bear. When I share or state that I am single and I never had a boyfriend since birth people will get curious, annoyed or shocked. As if it is a curse  yet I am not surprised with the different responses that I get from people.

I praise the Lord for the great confidence He has given me to truly see myself in His reflection and truly gaze upon His being as my true and real significance. I praise the Lord for the preservation He has allowed in my life, for it is grace alone.

We had our singles fellowship at the center. It is my first time to attend the fellowship with the GBC singles. The topic we had was about modesty and I was greatly reminded and rebuked with the holy manner we should present ourselves as the bride of Christ. To be modest in the manner of clothing, not stumbling  people, to be holy in all manner  of conversation, to be upright, to be modest. A woman who is well-kept, hidden in the chest of Christ. Yet with the physical bars of modesty. I contemplated with the modesty of the heart. Is there such thing as that?

Emotional Modesty.

Maybe at some point  we have not flaunt our physical selves to men to be devoured but how about our hearts? Is our hearts still whole? or is it broken, torn and been used and abused for leisure. Have we been careful with our hearts? with our emotions? Have we been discreet with our responses, in our actions towards delivering right signals? Have we been a well-kept woman?

Maybe we have been, maybe we are not. In some point of our lives, we have given a parcel of ourselves to someone. We have given our hearts to someone who is not God's will for us. We have been immodest with our hearts. Yet, God's grace abounds to us in a manner of letting go and surrender. It beckons us to restore once more our hearts and give it back to Him. And every time we do, His great heart is open and willing to heal our hearts to be His again.

~Isaiah 61:03
He makes beauty out of ashes
         He makes us
         He restores...

Apart from Christ, we are not a good safe keeper of our hearts. Apart from the Holy Spirit,we are not able to guard our hearts, So instead  let Him in. Let Christ safe guard your heart, make it modest, holy and pure for our Heavenly groom, our eternal lover, our Great God patiently waits.
Will you make the same prayer?

Tears

How can I describe E-campaign? It is an annual event in the Campus ministry where the Lord found me and the Lord called me to serve Him. E campaign reaches to schools, campuses, universities and high schools in the Philippines, where the Lord open doors that the gospel of Jesus will be preached.
I just thank the Lord for the privilege to see and experience the amazing things He has done through this campaign.  The first week was in Cebu, where the Lord has called me to serve Him.  Before the campaign, it was a heart warming events, where we have seen the hand of God move and open doors. It was His working and divine purpose that intervened. The last preaching oppurtunity I had was in the remote area in the South part of Cebu. I was then team leading this group.  I remember my IC told me to get that school, I was hesistant. I told her just to drop it down and wait for the other team’s coming. In my heart I wanted to bid goodbye to the other teams for it was the last day. And we need to reach out the last school, so if we will go, we cant see them anymore. Yet I obeyed my leader and went to the last school instead, up in the mountains in a raining cold weather. We ate our packed up food inside the van.

As I went to the school office and arrange some details before coming in, the Lord just enabled us though we were tired, weary, and it’s raining. As I step in my last room, it was filled with 74 students, hungry... and as I was sharing the word of God – there eyes were fixed on me. Their eyes were nailed down on me and my heart was overtaken by their lonely eyes...Oh! just in need of a Savior. These students are up in the mountains and they have never had the privilege to experience wealth and comfort. These students are in the nightschhool. As I was preaching the middle of the gospel my heart was captured by them and I can’t help to burst into tears. And after the sinner’s prayer... most of them made the decision to accept Christ, and tears were rolling in their eyes.
I went out to the room, the burdened was gripping my heart, and I cant contain just... tears.

A paragraph from the book I was  reading: “Deep unto deep, A journey to His embrace”( Dana Candler)
Every movement of the heart toward Him in the midst of hardship will be trumpted forever. The Father who sees what is done in secret will reward us openly (Matt.6:6). The divine exchange is that we “remember His love” in our seasons on earth, and then for all eternity He will remember our love. And yes, I believe that He will bring to us a very real bottle containing tears that we have cried. Not one will be lost. Not one will be forgotten. He will know each one by name and the story that it comprises. One by one, He will remind us of the movements of our hearts in the age when we could but see dimly. He will tear by tear remember our love, remembering what we have long forgotten and bringing nobility forever to the moments of barren prayer and lovesick heartache that we had thought so weak.

And the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces;
The rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth;
For the Lord has spoken.
And it will be said in that day: Behold this is our God; we have waited for Him,
And He will save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for Him;We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.”
                                                                                                                Isaiah 25: 8-9

Silence breaks into writing

Been busy for a time, and was not able to write and update this blog.
This entry is an overflow of the events that had happened  to me in the previous months :) Be blessed

The month of May has an event that I always look forward every year  (aside from my birthday :), it is our Annual Bible Intensive Training as I help plan and organize it.  The highlight for me this year is to be brought back to my Savior. I was expectant with the subjects taught and the "brokenness study", the Christ life. The subject taught by Prof E. became more real  to me compared when I took it 3 or 4 years ago.  Some were able to take the course and they were joking, that it made more sense to them this year, making them in the slow learner class. Which made me think, I might be a slow learner to.

Thoughts in my journal :

"Nothing beats to the knowledge of who You are in Christ , that is your true and real identity,
not what you think of yourself nor what other's think of you, You are Christ and Christ is Yours!

And Yes, often times we believe the lies we hear from ourselves and operate in our flesh rather than to yield to the spirit and His truth. We succumb to live "Christianity" in our own, resulting in a life of frustration and anxiety living a life of defeat. Right theology always results to right living, and that is a constant yielding to the Spirit in us.
It's not an  overnight change but a daily- life long process to be more like Him :)
I was encouraged to know that Christ is all I ever be in this journey and He keeps us going to live the life He has called us to be.

SMCI Training Graduation!  An answered prayer :

2012 Revival Camp: Understanding Grace

Grace is God's  unmerited favor isn't it? Yet this truth really broke to my soul as this theme is being preached and expound. And I realize that I am exhorted and commanded to live this life of "grace."
It's liberating and overwhelming to experience His grace which  compels us to be
a channel of it.

Charles Swindoll's "Grace Awakening" conveys:

"Grace gives us the freedom to be forgiven, and the freedom to forgive; the freedom to be yourself, and let other's be themselves; the freedom to think and  even to disagree; the freedom to serve and give out enthusiastically.
It enhances your feelings toward the Lord. Fear and distance will be replaced by acceptance and delight. Prayer will flow easily and naturally."

The understanding and appreciation of grace, draws you to a deep and abiding relationship with the Lord,
and that matters! :) This has been my fruitful summer escapade.

May I know You?

Receive today a personal invitation!
Somebody wants to know you, that person desires your undivided attention, He desires your unaltered affection. Do you feel thrilled when you know that somebody likes you, or feel empty because nobody notices you.

The God who made everything into its existence desires to have an intimate relationship with you. Hey! how wonderful it is. If you feel unnoticed, unloved then be awaken with this truth, that Christ died for your sins, and He wants you to be His, and be His alone.

If this truth sounds an old truth to you, it's not a suprising  thing to me I know it already. Ask yourself with these questions: Have you come to know the Lord deeply? Have you encountered His love in a fresh new way? Has life become stagnant as it is? Are you dragging to live the christian life? Has the cross became an old story to you? I'am asking the same questions to myself as well, for the Lord has been teaching me these days intimacy with Him. I am rebuked to know that deep within me, I am far from Him.

I will admit that yes, I am serving the Lord in full time ministry, reading His word, praying, teaching, yet with the work that is overwhelming, it is also consuming and my God is left in the shelf, thinking I am doing things for Him. Deep within is a center stage of performance, of ministries, of tasks need to be done and not to experience Him anymore. I fail to realize that what He desires of me is not the work I can accomplish or do but what matters most is my love relationship to Him. My personal time with my Savior, with the lover of my soul, with my creator. That I will be awakened, captivated, consumed, inspired and awestruck with this divine love. That I may encounter once again His presence that comforts, that heals, that restores, and that I may know Him.

What would it be, if you do ministry, accomplish great things yet you're worn out spiritually- driven by flesh, motivated by self. What would it be if you finish alot of task yet neglect to spend time in solitude, in prayer, in personal revelation. And what it be, if you do more for God and have not seen His face anymore.
Before I could reach such realization is painful breaking's and moldings yet the more you experience such, you will reach to the end that nothing really matters... nothing really is more vital than experiencing Christ. It is by seeking Him and in seeking Him, you will be finding Him, when you do, you will be encountering Him,
thus knowing Him and by knowing Him, you will be loving Him, and then serving Him! He beckons for your attention, May I know you? Will you let Him too?

"Ministry is an outflow of the inner life... take care of the depth of your life and let God take care of the breadth of your ministry." ~Edmund Chan~

Prayer:

Lord I am sorry for the days, for the months I trade you with the things I think were so important.
I am so sorry if I am consumed with the ministry and the work and it became an idol to me.
I am sorry if I am so proud to admit that I always need you and  you are always the fuel that will
ignite my walk and life. I am sorry if I fail to experience you anymore and replace you with other things.

Thank You for your forgiveness, thank You that You never give up on me a midst all my imperfections,
your love is perfect. I appropriate your promise and help me to seek your face more than your hand.

Amen!

Oh! let my heart crave for His presence, that as the psalmist said, "as the deer panths for the water so my soul longeth after thee!"

~~This is an old song to me, we always sing this during our fellowships and gatherings yet I am refreshed with the truth of the song. I will bring You more than a song, more than the series of this blog, its all about You Jesus, you are looking to my heart ;) Be blessed!~~

In the midst...

 In the midst of mess...

My frail heart cries
Worried
Perplexed
Anxious
Overwhelmed

Yet His word assures
Beckons
Affirms
Comforts
Strengthens

                                                                                       ...may we experience God !

  In the midst of victory...

My proud heart boast
Triumphant
Domineering
Arrogant
Self righteous
Self reliant

Yet His word rebukes
Admonishes
Corrects
Disciplines
Purges

...may we give all God the glory!

 Verses to ponder  ;)

“ There is no fear in love, but perfect love casteth away fear, because fear hath torment, yet he who fear is  not made perfect in love”
1 John 4:7-21

“ For of Him, and through Him, and to Him are all things to whom be glory forever! Amen
Romans 11:31

Who holds your heart?

How is your heart today? Is it trembling, worried, anxious, happy, excited, overwhelmed , or has somebody else captured your heart? The Lord who fashioned you and crafted you desires that you give it to Him, in wondrous peace and sweet surrender.

Why is it that the Lord is commanding us to give our hearts back to Him?  For a reason that our heart is  a vital part of ourselves. It corporates the things we do and it generates in us alot of things. Proverbs admonishes us to keep it, for out of it springs issues of life.

“Give your fears...
“Give your uncertainties...
“Give your expectations...
“Give your heart to the Lord!

"This song was shared to me and I am sharing it to you, as it ministered to me in the seasons of my toiling heart". ;)

Just give Jesus

“In life we will meet lots of people, but the challenge is, at the end of the day
have we reflected CHRIST in their lives, and that makes the difference, when
we go on our separate ways, will they remember His face?”

A person whom I cared for, asked me that if she needs to compete
with other people in my life, and I silently asked the Lord, "Have I drawn
her to myself?

In everything, in every human relationship that could possibly exist,
it is turning over to Christ. How tempting it will be to draw love to self, to take the attachment,
to take the glory but is it always putting all your disciples to Christ. To let them
see who Christ is and have Him as refuge, not self, for it is Christ that will
always be the "center focus of everything." And when the moments will end,
when life beckons another phase, you will never regret for you gave Jesus alone.

How  have I fallen in the pit of my own consumed desires, and yes I need
to surrender.

~A prayer:~

"God I pray that they will be drawn to YOU, and not to me,
and I will turn them to your fellowship not mine, for it is You that will
always cause growth in their lives."

May this song minister to your soul ;) I pray for nothing less than for you to love
Jesus more.

When strings pluck the heart.. When notes becomes a composition of life "Series"

A Series...
Music originally comes from the heart of God,who made every sound and ryhme. Who blended the perfect harmony and orchestrated symphony. Who is the maker and author of every beautiful gift, and one of it is -music.

In this world that we live in,  everyday we battle with different  sounds, from the normal routines up to the pressures of life. We face the buzz of the vehicles around us,the laughthers, the voices, and fail to notice the silent pleas and human cries. We succumb for the different voices we hear, and neglect that there is a still small voice within us. This is a series of reflections out of  a music that springs  to the heart of a soul from the omnipotent hand of God- the ultimate musician.

“You make beautiful things out of dust”

Gen. 2:07
>> “ And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into His nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” <<

Have you ever come to the point of asking yourself  can something good come out from your life? Have you been discouraged in life? Have you made some mistakes and failures that have inevitable consequences? Is there any pain that cripples you to go on?

We are made out of dust, and God breathed into His nostrils and life began. Everything came from God, our life, our soul and  our being. Nothing in ourselves can we ever boast it comes ultimately from Him, yet even in our frailness , He extends His greatness and allows His deity to be known. The human heart is deceitful, wicked, sinful and dark. People are indeed messy, leaky vessels yet with the wrecthedness of man, overflows the heart of a forgiving Father, and with the ungratefulness of man extends the graciousness of God.

It is Christ who made beautiful in us, it His reflection  that radiates and glows and not of own efforts. Whoever is in Christ, is a new creature, all things have passed away behold all things become a new. Our sins and mistakes does not define us but our righteous stand in Christ, who have redeemed and bought  us through His blood. “But God who is rich and mercy for His great love wherewith he loved us, even when we are dead in sins, hath quickeneth us together with Christ, and hath raised us up together with Christ. And hath raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ.

Who can ever think of himself more valuable than the reality that the Lord who made everything in its existence values you. People may judge and condemn you, yet the Lord offers and extends His compassionate eyes of love and forgiveness. We may condemn ourselves as well, yet there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. Our worth springs up in the roots of God who has drawn us to himself.
And yes, the Lord is in His ways of making beautiful songs out of broken strings!

Here is the song: Beautiful Things, may it ministered to your soul ;)

" The Genesis: beginning"

Everything begins from something, from a seed until it grows to a steady tree, a canvass into a painting, a fertile egg to a life and now these  words into reality. Nothing happens just an instant, it had a process and yes always a progress.

Writing was always been a form to express myself, to pen down thoughts, realizations and dreams, yet I was scared for a moment to unleash these things and made it known to men.  For years these were frozen in the depths of unwrapped soul till came time to let it go. Life lived for self will always be discontent.

This will be  first of the entries that will communicate a heart of someone who will journey life, yet not just walking  by it but through the eyes of a greater  being- "God". May we all find that He is great, and He is the compelling reason to live , to  know and be known of His loving kindness - Chesed".
